For parents and families

The hard moments go easier when your child has already seen them.

Vivi makes that story about them.

Tell Vivi what is coming up, the dentist, a new school, a baby brother, and a few minutes later you have a narrated, animated story your child stars in. Watch it tonight, and again tomorrow morning on the way there.

How it works

From "I have no idea how to explain this" to a story they ask for by name.

You do not need to write anything, draw anything, or know the right words. You answer a few questions and read what comes back.

  1. Tell Vivi about the moment

A short form: who your child is, what is coming up, and what you hope they take from it. No account setup marathon.

  2. Read it before anything is animated

Vivi drafts every page. You read them and ask for changes in plain words, until it sounds like your family.

  3. Watch it together

Read it, watch it, download it as PDF or MP4, with your child as the main character.

Not a printout. A story that moves.

The part where they stop and actually watch.

A printed story asks a child to sit still and listen. A Vivi story moves, speaks, and stars someone they recognise instantly: themselves. That is usually the difference between a story that gets read once and one that gets asked for every night.

And repetition is the point. Watching themselves handle the moment, over and over, is how a child arrives at the real one already knowing what happens next.

  • Personalized
  • Narrated aloud
  • Animated
  • Your child stars
  • Watch it again

Need it on paper? Every story still prints or exports as a PDF, to take to the appointment or send in to school.

Adding a child profile in Vivi

Set up once, use all year

One profile. Endless stories.

Vivi is not a one-off story maker. You build your child once, and every story after that already knows who they are.

  1. Your child, not a stock character

Their name, the people and places in their world, the things they love. The closer it looks to them, the more it works.

  2. A story for whatever comes next

A first haircut, a sleepover, a goodbye at the gate, waiting for a turn. You are not limited to what someone else already wrote.

  3. Share it with everyone around them

Send the story to a grandparent, a babysitter, a teacher or a therapist, so the same words are used everywhere your child goes.

Start from a story that already exists

The everyday moments, already written.

Pick one from the library, watch the sample, then make it about your child. It takes minutes, and you can change any page before it is animated.

Loved by families

What parents tell us.

“For the first time, my son could see himself in a story. It helped him feel calm before school.”
Sarah, mom of a 6-year-old
“We used Vivi to explain going to the doctor. She felt calm, and I felt prepared.”
Emma, mom of a 5-year-old

Made by a parent, for parents

Why I built Vivi.

I built Vivi after my son's diagnosis. The stories we found helped, but he connected most when he saw himself. So we built the thing I wanted at eleven at night, the evening before something new.

You know your child better than any app does. Vivi takes the writing and the drawing off your plate, and leaves the knowing to you.

Questions parents ask

Vivi Kids, in short.

  1. What is Vivi Kids?

Vivi Kids makes personalized, narrated, animated stories where your own child is the main character. Tell Vivi what is coming up, the dentist, a new school, a haircut, and a few minutes later you have a story to read and watch together.

  2. How do I prepare my child for something new, like the dentist or a new school?

Show them what will happen, in order, before it happens, and repeat it. A short story about the moment, with your child in it, does exactly that. Start from a ready-made story in the library, or describe your own moment.

  3. Is this a social story?

It works the same way: it describes what will happen, step by step, from your child's point of view. What we add: your child is the hero, it is narrated and animated, and you read and approve every page.

  4. Can it help an autistic child?

Stories that show what will happen, step by step, are a common way to prepare autistic children for new situations. Vivi makes that story about your child, which is what many children connect with most. It is a tool for families and professionals, not a medical treatment.

  5. Can I share the story with a teacher or therapist?

Yes. Read it, watch it, download it as PDF or MP4, or send it to a grandparent, a babysitter, a teacher or a therapist, so the same words are used everywhere your child goes.

  6. How much does it cost?

Your first story is free in your first 30 days. After that you buy credits: 3 for $9, 10 for $26 or 30 for $66. A story is 1 credit, and a Fully Animated story is 10 more. Your first routine, Choose-Along and plan are free, then 1 credit each. Bought credits never expire.
